Piedmont Baseball and Softball COVID-19 Update 7/15/20

Now that games have started, the Board would like to remind parents, players and coaches of the COVID-19 requirements for playing at Piedmont this year:

HANDWASHING. Handwashing stations and hand sanitizer dispensers MUST be put out for EVERY practice, scrimmage, or game. Please use them.

FACE MASKS. Managers and coaches MUST wear a mask when they cannot maintain a distance of 6 feet between the coach and the player. This requirement is mandated by the Governor and will be strictly enforced. Coaches and managers MUST have a mask on their person at all times. All base coaches MUST wear a mask when on the field. All spectators must wear a mask when social distancing of 6 feet is not possible.

SOCIAL DISTANCING. Players AND parents MUST abide by the Governor’s social distancing policy which requires persons not living in the same household to maintain a distance of 6 feet apart. Please note that this rule also applies to parents when they are spectators at games and scrimmages. Please keep your chair 6 feet from your neighbor. Managers and coaches are expected to remind players of this requirement throughout practices and games.

The State of Delaware remains in Phase 2 of its Reopening Plan. Piedmont expects all in attendance to comply with the Governor’s Phase 2 General Guidance as well as the Phase 2 Guidance for Youth Sports.
